How to Apply for a Practitioner License

Click Start application on the homepage service card
Or open the Practitioner registration link directly
Read the Before you begin panel on step 1
Gather your institution and license details
Choose fresh registration or renewal
You can return later — progress is saved as a draft
Note: If your license number is already on the online practitioner portal, sign in to renew instead of starting a new application.
2

Passport photograph (JPEG, PNG, or GIF)
Professional certificate or lost certificate report

Maximum 1 MB per file
Ensure images are clear and legible

License & Indexing Verification
1
Open the Verification Page
From the CHPRBN homepage, select Verify a license to open the public verification service at /verify. No login is required.
Click Verify a license on the homepage
Or open the Verify a license service card
The page shows a single search field
Have the license or indexing number ready
Numbers are not case-sensitive
Spaces in the number are ignored
2
Enter the Number to Verify
Type one number in the search field and click Verify. The system detects whether it is a practitioner license or a candidate indexing number.
Practitioner license, e.g. A2500123
Indexing number, e.g. B/049/075/24
Only the number is required — no name or captcha
Shareable links: /verify/A2500123 or /verify?number=B/049/075/24
Double-check the number before submitting
If not found, confirm the format and try again
Tip: License numbers use a letter followed by seven digits. Indexing numbers use the cadre letter and slashes, for example B/049/075/24.
3
Review the Verification Result
If a record is found, the result page shows the practitioner or candidate details on file with CHPRBN.
License checks: verification status and license status (Licensed, Expired, or Not licensed)
License checks: name, license number, issue and expiry dates, cadre, and institution
QR code to scan and reopen the same verification result
Print button to save or print the result
Note: Verification status shows whether the practitioner is verified on CHPRBN. License status shows whether the current licence period is active or expired.
4
Indexing Results and Exam Records
When an indexing number is verified, you can continue to national examination results from the same result page.
Confirm the candidate name and institution match
Check the indexing status badge
Use Check Result on the indexing result page
Opens the public exam result lookup for that indexing number
Useful for employers and institutions confirming candidacy
5
Report Suspicious or Mismatched Records
If no record is found, details do not match the physical licence, or you suspect fraud, report it to CHPRBN.
Note the number you searched
Save or screenshot the verification result if shown
Open the Support Ticket panel on the homepage
Describe the mismatch or suspected fake licence
Attach supporting evidence where possible
Submit for CHPRBN review
Note: A “not found” result may mean the number is incorrect, not yet on CHPRBN, or formatted wrongly — not always fraud.
